All applicants will need to complete a series of substitute training. Once we have received your application, we will follow up with instructions with the next steps to becoming a substitute teacher. You will need to obtain your substitute license through the New Mexico Public Education Department as well as undergo a background check pertaining to the license.  To register and schedule your background check, please visit https://nm.state.identogo.com/. You will utilize ORI Number NM920140Z. Background Checks can be done at the district office 700 Franklin Ave Socorro, NM 87801 between 9am to 11pm and 1pm to 3pm Tuesday thru Thursday.
